In regards to the negative things you may read- yes there are some potholes on the road in and out however they are NOT that bad and you can clearly tell they do everything possible to keep up with the road however your going in to a wooded area that has had LOT of rain so there is only so much you can do and would NOT keep me from going. Also no it appears there isn't Cable for the short stay guest but who needs cable when your camping at a place with so many fun things to do. This is our new favorite place and we will DEF be going back!!
We spent 3 nights here and had a great time. We kayaked several days and the put-ins were close and convenient to the campground. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and dinner and the food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Best of all the campground is right on the Sante Fe River and the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. I'd recommend this to anyone.
Great Place to be for family get togethers, or mom & dad's get away or night out. Beautiful area & view, with descent prices, and great people! The staff is wonderful & the food is awesome! Guaranteed a good time. My fiance & I use to work there years ago, and still spread the recommendation to go there to friends, family, and co-workers. We also still go there to hang out as well.. it'll feel like your second home!
We stayed here this past weekend and to be honest was a little worried at first due to some of the past negative reviews well let me just say this place was amazing! We had SO much fun!! ALL POSTIVES- food, river view, bands, office staff (Susan), staff in general, bathhouse is the cleanest ones I have ever seen and private at that. Caught tons of fish right off the dock, Pool, Jacuzzi.
Facilities were decent. I started a charge account on my card, and paid in full in cash. Tipped very well. And they still ran my card! Almost $400 night! Still waiting for my refund. Even planned on bringing our camper and kids up for the next event. Not any more
We had a great time... beautiful view of the river... nice pool area and restaurant bar area. The band playing this weekend was great!(Music loud late... didn't bother us but I can see it being an issue to others) The dirt road going into the campground is full of pot holes which was annoying . We were there to enjoy the river so for us it was great... if looking for attractions and near by restaurants and entertainment it's not for you. We will be back!
